Welcome to our website.

Awana Sanctuary (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysia importer, distributor, and freight consolidator specialize in New Zealand fine food products like honey , fruit juice , relish , chutney , pasta , pasta sauce , jam , vinegar , olive oil , compost bin.

Awana Sanctuary is a family owned company which was established in 2009. It started from the love for fine food and quality natural products which we had experienced and acquired from living in New Zealand for over 10 years. Upon returning to Malaysia, we found that quality New Zealand products were scarce. So-called New Zealand products were not actually made in New Zealand, but oftentimes repacked or used ingredients which were only partially sourced from New Zealand. Thus, this started our vision to introduce true "Kiwi Goodness" to the Malaysian consumers.

UMF ® Manuka honey was our first product imported into Malaysia. Waitemata's UMF ® Manuka honey distributed by us is of the highest quality, produced by a well respected member of the New Zealand Honey Association and its UMF ® properties endorsed and licensed by UMFHA – Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association.

New Zealand produces many high quality products in a naturally clean and green environment. We select products which are of the finest quality and which are manufactured and packed in New Zealand, and delivered to consumers in Malaysia in its original packaging from our New Zealand suppliers.

Our company strongly believe that the products must be “100% truly Kiwi” which means the products are crafted and produced by the local people following New Zealand food safety regulations and conforming to New Zealand quality standards.

We hope that you will soon start on the journey to enjoy a piece of “Kiwi Goodness” as much as we have had over the years, living in this beautiful “Land of the Long White Cloud” – Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our Ingredients

Apple

Apples are high in fibre, a good source of vitamin C, vitamin K and potassium. They also contain high levels of important flavonoids that may help fight cancer.

Apricot

A fruit that resembles a small peach with an orange-yellow color. It contains vitamin A that promote good vision.

Beetroot

A type of vegetable that is dark red in color. Consumption of the vegetable may reduce health problems such as heart diseases and colon cancer.

Bell Pepper

A vegetable that is better known as the "Capsicum". It has glossy exterior and comes in different colors. It contains vitamin C and carotenoid.

Blackberry

A fruit that is a cluster of purple-black drupelets which is soft and edible. Its fiber reduces cholesterol levels.

Blackcurrant

A fruit that contains high vitamin C and a broad range of other essential nutrients. Blackcurrant may reduce the effects of arthritis.

Gherkins

A fruit that is very similar to the cucumber. They are usually pickled in jars or cans with vinegar.

Onions

A bulb composed of several layers that is often used in cooking. They help keep blood free of clots.

Plums

A fruit that tastes sweet and is usually used in jam-making. Plums are able to help in regulating the functioning of the digestive system.

Pohutukawa

The Pohutukawa tree can be found planted throughout New Zealand in coastal areas. The flowers are bright red and is known as "New Zealand Christmas Tree".

Strawberry

A fruit with a seed-studded surface and is red in color. Strawberries are rich in vitamin c.

Tomato

Tomato is consider a vegetable that is rich in lycopene that has beneficial health effects.

Manuka Oil

Manuka Oil (or Leptospermum Scoparium Oil) is steam distilled from its bushy plant with small spiky leaves and pink flowers. Manuka is indigenous to New Zealand.

Lavender

Lavender (Lavandula) is a genus of 39 species of flowering plant in the mint family, lamiaceae. Lavender makes a very versatile and soothing aromatherapy oil.
